The successful candidate must have an aptitude to learn, be able to study and pass exams given by the Washington State Department of Agriculture, and use good judgment, able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing, able to problem-solve, able to work independently and with others, able to multi-task, be dependable, accurate, organized, ethical, and detailed, able to lift more than 50 pounds, calculate basic math equations, and able to deliver excellent customer service. The candidate will be driven by goals, must have a clean driving record, drug free, and enjoy working outside. Required to drive vehicles and operate equipment. Must be able to obtain the following WSDA licenses: Laws & Safety, Ornamental Weed, Ornamental Insect and Disease, and PCO General.
Responsible for applying treatments to lawns, trees, shrubs, buildings/structures, etc. to help control pests and enhance the growth and health of desirable plants. Must be able to accurately complete paperwork, manage inventory, do minor mechanical and maintenance work on equipment, evaluate properties and advise client of recommended treatments and/or issues. Work according to safety procedures and represent the company in a professional manner. Provide value, quality, and a high level of customer service to clients.
This position is from approx. Mid-February to December. Advancement opportunities available. Average annual pay for this position is $30,000-$40,000+.
Pay DOE. Starting at $15.00/hr.
